Weekly schedules to get you round in your target time
Your training program is the most important piece of information you will own during your preparations for the Reading Half Marathon. It will guide you, motivate you and keep you on track whilst you prepare your body to carry you round the 13.1 miles of the race.
Finding the right program is essential however and I have produced three schedules structured to help you achieve your goal time.
- Program 1 - 3 runs a week, 2:15 to 2:45 target time
- Program 2 - 4-5 runs a week, 1:45 to 2:15 target time
- Program 3 - 4-5 runs a week, 1:20 to 1:45 target time

Personalised training programs

- Plan the session outline. Work out which runs you will be doing - intervals, fartlek, long runs, short runs - and when.
- Plan individual sessions in detail. Put the meat on the bones of the individual sessions so you know exactly what you will be doing in every session of your program.
